SAPM on youth affairs Miss Shaza Fatima Khawaja’s message on international women day

Islamabad, March 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): On International Women’s Day, I would like to send best wishes to all the deserving women of Pakistan who are contributing significantly to the progress of Pakistan. Women worldwide are breaking barriers and reaching the skies through their will and determination.

The women of Pakistan, despite the gender gap and unequal opportunities, are conquering the world in every field. Women of Pakistan have proven their mettle in politics, sports, science, and technology in every walk and field of life.

I believe today is the day we celebrate all those women who are and were the flag bearers of women’s empowerment in Pakistan. The Prime Minister’s Youth Program has set specific quotas for women, ensuring that women and girls have an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from the various programs it provides.

We have success stories of females who have taken loans from the PMYP loan scheme and started their start-ups, including females who started their own salons, parlours, dairy farms, schools, and tuition centers. Even girls with those laptops have started freelancing and earning domestically.

By keeping all these success stories in sight, the Prime Minister Youth Program has reserved quotas for females, like 25% quota for the loan scheme and 50% for the laptop scheme. I hope that women will rise up and advocate for themselves, their families, their communities, and future generations.

Benefiting the women of the nation is essential to the nation’s development. Under the umbrella of its initiative “Girls Learn, Girls Earn”, the Prime Minister’s Youth Program is making all efforts to design every program to provide for women’s inclusion and empowerment. As a woman, I know the extra mile women have to go to achieve their goals. Lastly, I wish all the women working in homes and outside a very “Happy Women’s Day.”
