Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said that Pakistan People’s Party is committed to the cause of people of Kashmir for their inalienable right of self-determination. The Party, he said, has its genesis in the cause of Kashmir.
The Prime Minister was talking to Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan who called on him at the PM’s House this afternoon.
The Prime Minister appreciated the contributions of Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan and his Party to the cause of Kashmiris and thanked him for working closely with the Government of Pakistan for the welfare of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir assured the Prime Minister to continue working for the welfare of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He also apprised the Prime Minister on his visit to Astana (Kazakhstan) to attend OIC Contact Group meeting on Kashmir. He thanked the Prime Minister for facilitating the arrangements of his visit.
