Islamabad: The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has initiated significant measures aimed at transforming the agriculture sector. These efforts, supported by the Green Corporate Initiative (GCI), emphasize a shift from traditional farming practices to a corporate-style approach, promising enhanced efficiency and productivity.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the collaboration with GCI has proven effective in supplying farmers with quality fertilizers and seeds, which has resulted in increased agricultural production. This strategic partnership marks a pivotal moment in the advancement of modern agricultural practices.
In a bid to bolster agri production, 150,000 acres of land in Punjab have been irrigated using modern water management techniques. This development is expected to significantly enhance the output and sustainability of the agriculture sector in the region.
Additionally, model farms have been established in Pirwal and Muzaffargarh. These farms will serve as educational hubs for farmers, offering training in contemporary agricultural techniques, further promoting innovation and efficiency in the industry.
