Sit-in protest against police atrocities in Srinagar

Srinagar, January 15, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, people staged a sit-in protest against the atrocities of Indian police in Srinagar.

Indian police personnel barged into the house of one Ghulam Muhammad Baig at Barzulla in Srinagar and inhumanely tortured his son.

Scores of people staged protest against the police action at Press Enclave in Srinagar and sought action against the accused cops.

“Police ransacked our house and thrashed my family members without any provocation,” said Ghulam Muhammad Baig who was among the protesters. Meanwhile, Indian police arrested one Aijaz Ahmad Reshi from Arampora in Sopore.
