Karachi, December 21, 2016 (PPI-OT):A sixteen members trade delegation from Xinjiang province led by Deputy Director General, Department of Commerce visited TDAP on 21st December 2016.The delegation comprised of delegates from following leading textiles companies of Xinjiang.

The objective of visit of this delegation is to develop linkages between textile companies of Xinjiang Province with Pakistan Companies who are dealing in textiles, to find out import partners and to have joint ventures. Secretary TDAP welcomed the delegates and briefed them about the working of TDAP. During the meeting she stated that after the CEPEC project the importance of linkages between Pakistan and northern part of China will create lot of business opportunities in trade.

The leader of delegation informed that Xinjiang Province is already trading with traders of northern part of Pakistan and the volume of trade is US$310 Million. He stated that this is an exploratory delegation and will enhance the trade between Xinjiang Province and Pakistan and their companies had very good B2B meetings with Pakistani companies and they are hopeful that they will sign agreement with Pakistani companies for investment and joint ventures besides imports and exports.
