Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority delegation to participate in Expo Pakistan

Lahore, September 24, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) delegate left for Karachi the other day to participate in the Expo Pakistan being held from 26th to 29th September 2013 at Karachi Expo Centre.

This would be SMEDA’s maiden representation with a dedicated pavilion with 20 stalls for SMEs from different trade and manufacturing sectors of the country. The product range would include from Honey, Handicrafts, Gems and jewelry, Fabrics, Hosiery, Knitwear to Marble Mosaic, Leather, Engineering Goods, and Petroleum related products etc. Oisery, Knitw The event would help Pakistan’s SMEs to highlight their distinctive image as “Engine of Growth” of the economy. One of the major initiatives is to introduce brand name “Made in Waziristan”, to emphasize economic revitalization in Southern Waziristan Agency.

Both organizations being representatives of the Government of Pakistan share the common agenda of trade promotion and business facilitation. They are now extending mutual support to the Pakistani SMEs for their further growth and expansion. Expo Pakistan is the first step towards the upcoming and lasting alliance between the two organizations.

SMEDA’s prime objective through this event is connecting International buyers with Pakistani SMEs .Thereby, preparing SMEs to further explore not only the domestic market but also enabling them to compete globally.
