Islamabad, July 14, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Pursuance of Cabinet decision dated 09-06-2020 ‘Sugar Reform Committee’ was constituted under Chairmanship of Mr. Hammad Azhar, Minister for Industries and Production. The members of committee include Advisor to PM on Institutional Reforms, Special Assistant to PM on Accountability, Minister MNFS and R, DG FIA, Chairman FBR, Secretary MOI and P, Secretary Law and Justice, Secretary MNFS and R and Chief Secretaries from Provinces.
The Committee will submit its findings within thirty days. An introductory meeting was held on 13-07-2020 in Ministry of Industries and Production to discuss the administrative, legislative and policy framework to improve the sugar sector.
