Support to Kashmiri brethren in freedom struggle will continue: Chairman, National Highway Authority

Islamabad, August 31, 2019 (PPI-OT): Pursuant to the directive of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, the officers and staff of National Highway Authority expressed absolute solidarity to the Kashmiris in their freedom struggle today. To this effect, standing in front of NHA HQ building, they raised slogans in favour of the Kashmiri brethren. National Anthem of Pakistan and Anthem of Kashmir were also played on this occasion. Chairman NHA Capt (Retd) Sikandar Qayyum led a rally consisting of NHA officers and staff.

It is to recall that such activity was also conducted at NHAs Zonal Offices located at Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Gilgit Baltistan and in maintenance units spread in country where concerned Members, General Manager, Officers and staff extended the fullest support to the Kashmiris in their prolonged struggle for freedom. At NHA’s headquarters, Islamabad, Chairman NHA addressing the rally said, Kashmir is the integral part and jugular vein of Pakistan and that Pakistan has placed its solid clear viewpoint to the world community.

He said, United Nations should realize its resolutions on Kashmir for peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute. He demanded immediate stop of tragic incidents of brutality being taken place in held valley of Kashmir. He further said, Pakistanis are standing united to support the Kashmiris till getting right of self-determination. Slogans like “Kashmir Banega Pakistan” and national songs on solidarity to the Kashmiris were also played.
