Karachi School for Business and Leadership’s program on Building and Maintaining Successful Brands in Today’s Marketplace

Karachi: Dr. Saim Kashmiri, currently teaching Marketing at the University of Texas at Austin, USA, will conduct a two-day Executive Education Programme for Karachi School for Business and Leadership (KSBL), on “Building and Maintaining Successful Brands in Today’s Marketplace”, on the 8th and 9th of May, in Karachi.

This course has been designed for managers who work in the marketing function, and additionally, owing to the increasing need for cross functional expertise, entrepreneurs and managers of related business functions such as sales, finance, supply chain and R and D will also benefit from this programme.

This course aims to look at concepts and ideas central to building winning marketing strategies to enhance the value of the firm by specifically focusing on brand marketing strategies. The programme will not only explore the impact of brand marketing strategies on corporate marketing but will also focus on contemporary quantitative techniques for effective marketing decision making.

From August 2012, Dr Saim Kashmiri will be teaching Marketing strategy at the University of Mississippi, USA. His research interests include marketing strategy, brand management, and sustainability. Dr Kashmiri has also worked with Shell Oil, Procter and Gamble and Nestle in Pakistan.

He has published in the “International Journal of Research in Marketing” and the “Marketing Science Institute Working Paper” series. His paper on family firms’ unique branding strategies has also won the Best Paper Award in Marketing Strategy at the 2010 American Marketing Association Winter Educator’s Conference.
