Punjab Minister for Information and Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal inaugurates three-day International Engineering and Machinery Exhibition 2019

Lahore, September 26, 2019 (PPI-OT): Punjab Minister for Information and Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal inaugurated the three-day International Engineering and Machinery Exhibition 2019 jointly organized by Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry and E-commerce Gateway Pakistan today at Lahore Expo Center. Mr. Ahmed Hasnain, Senior Vice President PCJCCI, Mr. Daud Ahmed, Senior Member of Executive Committee PCJCCI, Dr Khursheed Nizam, President E-Commerce Gateway and Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI also addressed the inaugural ceremony.

Mian Aslam Iqbal, addressing the inaugural ceremony as Chief Guest, said that the international exhibitions play vital role in keeping the local industry abreast with the modern technology and the changing trends of international markets. He congratulated the PCJCCI and Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (EGP) to organize series of the international exhibitions in Lahore.

He said that the government of Punjab was also interested to create a conducive environment for trade and investment in Punjab. He told that he was busy in consultation with the stakeholders of industry at broad level and assured to introduce important changes in the provincial commerce polices in the light of business community’s suggestions.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr Khursheed Nizam, President E-commerce Gateway said that over 250 delegates from 7 countries: Belarus, China, Germany, Jorden, UAE, Japan, Austria etc. are participating in the three-day exhibition showcasing over 200 products at 250 stalls. He hoped that the exhibition would be visited by more than 40,000 local visitors from relevant fields who would also hold Business to Business (B2B) meetings with their foreign counterparts till September 28, 2019. Dr Nizam added that the exhibition is being initiated to facilitate effective interaction among several camaraderie of the machine tool, automation, cutting tools and user industries.

Earlier, Mr. Ahmed Hasnain, Senior Vice President Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce, while presenting address of welcome to the participants observed that “International Engineering and Machinery Exhibition 2019”, shall act as a source of inspiration and real opportunities for business ventures to the local businesses and industries.

It shall open doors for the up gradation of our local industry by introducing emerging technologies and to develop our businesses based on futuristic approach in order to take maximum benefits out of CPEC and BRI”, he added. Mr. Daud Ahmed, Senior Member of Executive Committee PCJCCI, said that, “This Business-to-Business Exhibition aims to be a one-stop shop for all the engineering industry products from processing technology to the finished products.

Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI hoped that the exhibition will also help in developing a new international and domestic manufacturers suppliers of machine tools and automation products / services, creating a unique platform to leverage the rapidly growing Pakistan’s market.” H.E. Mian Aslam Iqbal to open International Engineering Exhibition

Lahore, September 25, 2019 (PPI-OT): Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry and E-commerce Gateway Pakistan are jointly holding the “International Engineering and Machinery Exhibition 2019” from 26th to 28th September at Lahore Expo Center, which will be inaugurated by Mian Aslam Iqbal, Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce and Information. Mr. Ahmed Hasnain, Senior Vice President PCJCCI, Mr. Daud Ahmed, Senior Member of Executive Committee PCJCCI, Dr Khursheed Nizam, President E-Commerce Gateway and Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI addressed the final preparatory meeting of the Exhibition held today at PCJCCI premises.

Three-day fair jointly organized by Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ecommerce Gateway has been held at Expo Center, Lahore

Lahore, September 20, 2019 (PPI-OT): Dr. Salman Shah, Advisor to the Punjab Government on Economic Affairs, inaugurated the 22nd Textile Asia International Trade Fair today amid 550 International Brands on 500 Booths and over 450 foreign delegates from 27 countries including China, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Korea, Japan, Turkey, UK and USA. The three-day fair jointly organized by Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ecommerce Gateway has been held at Expo Center, Lahore. The inaugural ceremony of the fair was addressed by Dr. Salman Shah, Dr. Khursheed Nizam, President Ecommerce Gateway, Mr. Ahmad Hasnain, Senior Vice President, Mr. Dawood Ahmad, Senior Executive Member and Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General of the PCJCCI.

Dr. Salman Shah, while addressing the inaugural ceremony as Chief Guest, said that Pakistan had created an experienced lot of cheap labor in Textile industry and China can utilize this force for its Textile industry to compete in the world market. He told that the government of Punjab was planning to create a conducive environment for business. In this regard, he said that broader consultation with the business community was being made, which would be transformed into the measures to enhance ease of doing business. He acknowledged that the Textile industry was the key industry of Punjab having value added clusters in Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan, which were contributing a lot in the economic development. He said, like federal government, the provincial government was also ready to provide the necessary incentives to the Textile industry to enhance its competitiveness in the world market and increase country’s exports.

Dr. Khursheed Nizam, President E-Commerce Gateway Pakistan, addressing the inaugural ceremony, said that the main purpose holding the Textile Asia as a regular annual feature is to keep the local industry abreast with the international development and trends to be emerged in the world Textile market. Moreover, the exhibition would lead the way in delivering the most exquisite opportunities for all participants in different sectors like; buying selling potential of textile and garment machinery, Clothing Textiles Accessories, Textile Raw Material Supplies, Textile Dyes Chemicals, Embroidery Machines, Power and Air Compressors for Textile Industry and Textile Allied Services, he added.

Earlier, Mr. Ahmad Hasnain, Senior Vice President PCJCCI made address of welcome to the Chief Guest and the participants. He urged the government of Punjab to patronize the business community to meet the current challenges to be faced by the country. He said that the business community was ready work hands in gloves with the government for economic prosperity of the country. He observed that the Lahore had emerged as a focal point for investment by the foreign investors, especially the Chinese companies entering into the joint ventures under the framework of CPEC. This is the time when the Punjab government can enable the province to play leading role in economic development of the country by enhancing the facilitation by cutting down the unnecessary regulatory procedures. he said.

Mr. Daud Ahmed, Senior Member of Executive Committee PCJCCI added that PCJCCI team will remain busy throughout the three days to manage B2B meetings in “22nd Textile Asia International Trade Fair 2019”. He appreciated the Ecommerce Gateway services to make arraignments of such a mega trade fair by showcasing immense buying selling potential of textile, garment and allied industries. PCJCCI and Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan to Hold “22nd Textile Asia 2019 – International Trade Fair 2019”

Lahore, September 19, 2019 (PPI-OT): Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan is organizing a three-day joint exhibition “22nd Textile Asia International Trade Fair: the only UFI (Paris) Approved Textile Event” from 20th – 22nd, September 2019 at Lahore Expo Centre.

Dr. Khursheed Nizam, President E-Commerce Gateway Pakistan, addressing a review meeting held at PCJCCI, said that the exhibition would lead the way in delivering the most exquisite opportunities for all participants in different sectors like; buying selling potential of textile and garment machinery, Clothing Textiles Accessories, Textile Raw Material Supplies, Textile Dyes Chemicals, Embroidery Machines, Power and Air Compressors for Textile Industry and Textile Allied Services. More than 550 International Brands will display their products in over 500 Booths and over 450 foreign delegates from 27 countries mainly from China, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Korea, Japan, Turkey, UK, USA will grace the auspicious event, he added.

Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry organises a capacity building seminar

Lahore, September 17, 2019 (PPI-OT): International Arbitration through court is tiresome and time taking, which may be replaced with the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) system to maintain cordial business relations with the friendly countries like China. It was stated by Mr. Zafar Iqbal Kalanauri the eminent Leader of Advocates’ community, White Collar Crime Investigator, Reformist of Legal System and Legal Education and a Professor of Law while addressing as a key speaker at capacity building seminar of Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) held today at Chamber premises.

Mr. Guo Dong, Regional Chairman All Pakistan Chinese Enterprises Association, Mr. Lu Whenzao and Mr.Tang Pengcheng, Coordinators of Orange Line Project, Mr. Sun Xu, representative of Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co. Ltd, Mr. Daud Ahmad, Executive Committee Member, Mr. Farooq Ali Sherwani, EC Member and Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI also spoke on this occasion. Main theme of the seminar was “Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Perspective of Pakistan China Business Trade and investment”.

Mr. Zafar Iqbal Kalanauri said that the problems and disputes which can arise during huge investments between the two countries can be resolved through ADR system on the fast track. As Pakistan and China, are conducting various joint ventures of commendable investments, in which so many variances can occur. In my point of view, law is difficult and time-taking, so in such cases we should depend on the most easiest and convenient way that is, “Alternate Dispute Resolution”, he added. Through ADR clause, the two parties can resolve their issues with the help of mediator, facilitator, he said and observed that the ADR clause is one of the most popular modes in foreign countries to resolve business disputes.

While commenting on the current changes in ADR, Mr. Zafar said that, on 7th August 2019, UN Conference on Mediation was conducted at Singapore in which representatives of different countries participated and agreed for Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR). So, we should implement ADR to solve our disputes and I am very thankful to PCJCCI as they have taken initiative to establish, Pakistan China ADR Centre for the businessmen of Pakistan and China, he said.

Mr. Guo Dong, Regional Chairman of All Pakistan Chinese Enterprises Association said that, Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry had been working on different grounds which had created opportunities for the young entrepreneurs. He applauded PCJCCI’s vibrant role in promoting bilateral trade and business between both the nations. He welcomed PCJCCI decision to set up ADR Center.

Mr. Daud Ahmed, Member of Executive Committee PCJCCI, speaking on this occasion, said that, PCJCCI aims at capacity building of local entrepreneurs as per need of the ever-changing market trends, he said and appreciated that Professor Mr. Zafar Iqbal Kalanauri had elaborated a tricky subject in a simple way by sharing his life-long experiences.

PCJCCI Proposes to Establish Pak-China Technology University

Lahore, September 11, 2019 (PPI-OT): Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has proposed to establish Pakistan China Technology University in collaboration with Chinese campuses to transform technology from China to Pakistan. The proposal was floated by Mr. Shah Faisal Afridi, President PCJCCI, while addressing a think tank session today at PCJCCI premises. Mr. Ahmed Hasnain, Senior Vice President, Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General, Mr. Dawood Ahmad, Dr. Iqbal Qureshi and a number of the Executive Committee Members also attended the session.

Mr. Afridi said that the main aim of the proposed university would be to provide tailor-made innovative solutions to various sectors of Pakistan. “China is interested to incorporate Chinese curriculum into Pakistan that will include Chinese language, Chinese work ethics, innovative planning and development on priority basis but for this they need cooperation from Pakistan, he added and observed that it would be considered a big achievement, if Pakistan succeeds to establish such university because currently the education sector of Pakistan lacks in technology and technical expertise despite having huge population of the highly motivated, talented and creative youth. He said that various innovative projects, strategies and products were being developed by students in the local universities that go unnoticed due to lack of representation and interest at the government level.

Mr. Ahmed Hasnain, Senior Vice President PCJCCI, sharing his views on this occasion said, we do not have institutions or a financial support structure to help entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to fruition. We need radical transformation that brings the search for knowledge, science, technology and innovation to the forefront of government support, he said adding that the proposed Pakistan-China Technology University would also be source of bringing a collaborative research and development wing that would be linked with other universities and colleges for the development and achievement of innovative goals by providing, training, technical and financial assistance to the students and interested people to execute their ideas.

Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI proposed to create a flexible, innovation-centric and entrepreneur-led autonomous body which would be answerable to chief executive of country only to implement and gauge the innovation strategy.

PCJCCI celebrated Defence Day to pay homage to the martyrs and ghazis (04-09-2019)

Lahore, September 04, 2019 (PPI-OT): Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Mr. Shah Faisal Afridi has said that the Defence Day is an icon of our unity. It was stated by him while addressing a meeting held at PCJCCI premises to celebrate the Defence Day. Mr. Ahmed Hasnain, Senior Vice President and Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI also paid tribute to the martyrs and ghazis who became a rock slid wall to defend our motherland against aggression of the enemy. The ceremony was attend by all executive committee members and many other renowned personalities.

President PCJCCI said that it was on this day in 1965 that the Indian forces crossed the international border in the darkness of night to attack Pakistan, but ever-vigilant armed forces, solidly backed by the nation, foiled the enemy’s nefarious designs. He urged the business community to commemorate the Defence Day to strengthen unity of the nation in Pakistan.

He applauded the cooperation of China that it extended during war time of Pakistan and said that China and Pakistan had steadily increased cooperation on military and defence matters in recent years. Now, China is planning to build its second offshore naval base near a strategically important Pakistani port it appears that the relationship between Beijing and Islamabad is as strong as ever, the both nations are coming up as “Iron Brothers”, he added.

Mr. Ahmed Hasnain, Senior Vice President PCJCCI said that, “This year Defence Day is unique because the armed forces of Pakistan have achieved standout achievements in the war against terrorism which provided stability and continuity to the motherland, we salute our martyrs and war heroes who performed their duty in defending the motherland”.

Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI said that, the death of a martyr is the life of the nation. Salute to the martyrs of Pakistan and their families. He further added that, resolution of the Kashmir dispute was the key to regional peace. “The world must play its role to stop the gross human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir and help them in attaining their inalienable right to self-determination”.
