Karachi, October 25, 2012 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said KMC had paid the property tax share amounting to Rs22 Crore 13 Lac and 92 thousand to all 18 towns to enable them to make better arrangements of removal of offal and maintenance of cleanliness on Eid-ul-Azha.
He said this while chairing a meeting of Finance Department which was attended by Financial Advisor Munawwar Imam, Director Finance Farhan Durrani, Wasi Usmani, Muhammad Ashraf, Director Budget Nasir Mehmood and other officers.
Administrator Karachi said payment of salaries to all the employees of KMC and KDA were made after receiving grant from Government of Sindh whereas the process of payment of salary to staff of Education Department would also be completed today (Thursday) with the start of supplementary bills payment.
He said the Additional Director Muhammad Ehsan has been given the charge of Director Education who had submitted the salary bills immediately to finance department so that the salaries of the staff of education department could be transferred into their account. He also directed F.A that all the offices of finance department must remain open till the payment of all salary bills.
Administrator Karachi said Eid-ul-Azha was one of our major religious event and the muslims perform sacrifice on this occasion while following the act of Hazrat Ibrahim A.S. He said all efforts were made to pay the salary of all employees before Eid.
He also directed finance department to make a schedule for timely payment of salaries to employees whereas the departments were directed to submit their salary bill till the20th of each month so that the salaries could be disbursed on 1st of each month. Administrator Karachi said payment to salary to employees was our topmost priority.
