Two terrorists arrested from Islamabad

Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested two terrorists and also recovered suicide jacket, one hand grenade and pistol from them, a police spokesman said.

He said that two nabbed terrorists have been identified as Munawar alias Meera Jan and Mohib Ullah belonging from Tehreek-e-Taliban and wanted to target important personalities or installations in Capital.

According to details, on a tip off SHO Margallah police station Inspector Irshad Abro, Sub-Inspector Falak Sher started hunting criminals as there had been reports about their presence near Karachi Company bus stand. They managed to arrest two persons identified as Munawar alias Meera Jan and Mohib Ullah. A suicide jacket was recovered from Munawar alias Meera Jan concealed in black colour bag and also one hand grenade and pistol were recovered from Mohib Ullah.

Bomb Disposal Squad of Islamabad police was called there which defused these explosive material.

During the preliminary investigation, they had confessed to commit terror activity at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences in the month of May and also Islamabad Kutchery but this attempt was foiled due to high vigilance and security.

They said that they had been looking for soft target now and wanted to hit important personalities or installations.

Senior officials have appreciated the performance of Margallah police who arrested these terrorists and saved Capital from possible terror activity.
