Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that we love our national interest and would not make any compromise with any power including the United States of America. He said that we would only maintain relationship with all countries of the world on the basis of equality adding that we would appreciate wholeheartedly the support of all countries including USA.
These views he expressed while talking to party workers at Saidu Sharif in Mingora and Tehsil Matta, Swat on Wednesday. Provincial Minister Wajid Ali Khan, Muhammad Ayub Khan and MPA Sher Shah Khan also addressed the gathering on this occasion. Party workers on this occasion informed the minister about their problems, difficulties and their efforts for promotion of party. Talking to the party workers, Mian Iftikhar has said that ANP was an ideological party. Its history was replete with valuable sacrifices; hence all the workers should join hands for bright future of the party.
He explained that ANP was based upon principles adding that Khudai Khidmatgar Bacha Khan had prepared an army of volunteers that selflessly worked for progress, prosperity of Pakhtun nation and fought against the tyrannies of British Empire, adhering to the philosophy of non violence and principles of consistency.
He said that those great workers, with no fair of physical and monetary or other punishments fought with bravery and kept the party alive all along. It was the valuable sacrifices of party workers which has made the ANP strong.
Information Minister said that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani extended a hand of friendship to ANP which would in no way step back and Asfandyar Wali Khan proved this by his commitment to them.
The Minister on this occasion welcomed those who joined ANP and said that their decision was correct and in time which manifested their confidence upon the policies and performance of the government. He said that ANP was a party of workers in which their counsel is given top priority. He said that his party had committed for restoration of peace which by the grace of Almighty Allah has been fulfilled. Regarding developmental activities, he said that the present provincial government has carried out projects manifold as compared to the previous government. He said that in the war against terrorism two MPAs and 550 party workers have become martyred during the last 4 years.
Condemning the Jamrud explosion and expressing grave concern over the loss of precious lives, the Information Minister said the terrorists were not human beings adding that they were deadly wild animals who were mercilessly killing the innocent people. He said that we would chase them till their complete extinction.
He also strongly condemned the load shedding, saying that it would not be tolerated. He said the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would raise this issue in the next inter provincial committee meeting and demand that power was being produced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which should be given priority in meeting its requirements.
