Srinagar, June 09, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja has paid glowing tributes to teenager, Tufail Mattoo, on the eve of his martyrdom anniversary.
Yasmeen Raja in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian police, crossing all limits of cruelty, shot dead a teenage student, Tufail Mattoo on June 11, 2010, when he was returning home from tuition in Srinagar.
She said that forceful anti-India demonstrations had erupted after the incident and subsequent use of brute force by Indian troops and policemen had resulted in the killing of more than 120 protesters and injuring of thousands of others within a period of a few months.
The APHC leader said that India was trying to suppress the Kashmiris’ liberation struggle through use of brute force but it would never succeed in its sinister designs as the people of Kashmir were determined to take the ongoing movement to its logical conclusion at all costs.
