Zero tolerance for middle man culture: Director General Benazir Income Support Programme Sindh

Hyderabad, September 17, 2015 (PPI-OT): In order to ensure transparency in its operations and zero tolerance for middle man culture director general BISP Sindh Engr. Badar ul Haq Kandhro visited different Benazir Debit card BDC centres of BISP in Hala, Tando Adam and Sanghar today.

Director General, BISP SINDH personally met the beneficiaries and asked them about their problems, after listening to the complaints of women Director General directed to their officers/officials that deal with middle man with an iron hand who tend to exploit the uneducated poor beneficiaries during the withdrawal process. He also said that where ever they find agents they should get them arrested.

He also directed the BISP staff that to arrange water and tent facilities for the beneficiaries. Talking to the beneficiaries the DG said that the beneficiaries should get their installments/ money themselves and should not hand over their cards to the agents. He added that the money that the beneficiaries are getting is from Prime Minister Mr. Nawaz Shareef’s Government and if agents are trying to trap you immediately complain about the same to Assistant Directors and Divisional Directors of BISP.
