19th Death Anniversary of Poet Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi Observed

Lahore: The 19th death anniversary of renowned poet Ahmad Shah Awan, commonly known as Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi, was observed on Thursday.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi was born on 20th November 1916 in Anga village of Khushab District. Over his lifetime, he was honored with the Pride of Performance, the Pakistan Academy of Letters’ lifetime achievement award, and the civil award Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his contributions to literature and the arts.

Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi also made significant contributions as a scriptwriter for Radio Pakistan. His literary legacy continues to be celebrated, and his impact on Pakistani literature remains profound. He passed away on this day in 2006 in Lahore, leaving behind a rich heritage of poetry and prose.
