19th Death Anniversary of Singer Asad Amanat Ali Khan Observed

Lahore: The 19th death anniversary of renowned classical, semi-classical, and playback singer Asad Amanat Ali Khan was observed on Wednesday.

According to Radio Pakistan, Asad Amanat Ali Khan was born in 1955 and was a prominent figure from the famous Patiala Gharana. He was the son of the esteemed singer Ustad Amanat Ali Khan.

His career was marked by several famous songs, including “Kal Chowdhwein Ki Raat Thi,” “Ankhain Ghazal Hain Aap Ki,” “Ghar Wapis Jab Aao Gay Tum,” and “Umraan Langiyan Pabbhaan Phaar.” Asad Amanat Ali Khan’s contributions to music were recognized by the Government of Pakistan, which awarded him the Pride of Performance in 2007.

Asad Amanat Ali Khan passed away in 2007 in London and was laid to rest in the Mominpura cemetery in Lahore.
