21st Death Anniversary of Ashfaq Ahmad Commemorated

Lahore: Twenty-first death anniversary of writer, playwright, and broadcaster Ashfaq Ahmad is being observed on Sunday. Ashfaq Ahmad wrote dozens of TV dramas and hosted the famous Radio Pakistan program ‘Talqeen Shah’.

According to Radio Pakistan, his renowned PTV plays include ‘Munchaley ka Soda’, ‘Aik Muhobaat Sao Afsaney’, ‘Tota Kahani’, ‘Hairat Kada’, and ‘Afsaney’. Ahmad was honored with the Presidential Pride of Performance award and Sitar-e-Imtiaz for his contributions to literature and broadcasting.

Ashfaq Ahmad passed away on this day in 2004 in Lahore, leaving a significant impact on Pakistani literature and media.
