2nd Phase of Anti-Polio Drive Begins in Bannu and D.I. Khan Divisions

Bannu: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the second phase of a four-day anti-polio drive commenced today in the Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan Divisions.

According to Radio Pakistan, approximately one million children are set to receive polio vaccinations across all districts within the two divisions. Over 6,400 teams of trained polio workers have been organized to facilitate this massive health initiative. To ensure the safety of these teams, around 10,000 personnel have been assigned for their security.

Earlier, in the first phase of the anti-polio campaign, more than 6.1 million children were administered polio drops across 29 districts of the province. This ongoing effort underscores the commitment to eradicating polio and safeguarding the health of children in the region.
