3-Year Extension Announced for Benazir Nashonuma Programme

Islamabad: Benazir Income Support Programme, the United Nations World Food Programme, the United Nations Children’s Fund, and the World Health Organization have announced a three-year extension of the Benazir Nashonuma Programme.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme, Rubina Khalid, emphasized that the extension is not just the continuation of a programme but a renewed national commitment to providing every child a healthier start and every mother the opportunity to foster a better future for her family.

In her remarks, Anita Hirsch, the World Food Programme Representative and Country Director in Pakistan, noted that the results of the Benazir Nashonuma Programme show promising outcomes in the prevention of child malnutrition.
