Lahore: The Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA), in partnership with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), announced the 41st International Exhibition of Handmade Carpets, scheduled to take place from October 7 to 9, 2025, at a local hotel in Lahore.
The event will span three days and feature manufacturers and exporters from the handmade carpet industry showcasing their products at various stalls. The announcement was made during a PCMEA meeting attended by key industry figures including Patron-in-Chief Abdul Latif Malik and Chairman Mian Atiq-ur-Rehman.
During the meeting, Atiq-ur-Rehman and Vice Chairman Riaz Ahmed highlighted plans for a list of foreign buyers to be compiled with TDAP’s consultation, aimed at ensuring targeted outreach. They noted that promotional efforts for this year’s exhibition will align with modern marketing trends.
Industry leaders expressed optimism about the exhibition, viewing it as a significant platform for fostering long-term business relationships with international buyers. Bilateral meetings are planned to coincide with the main event to strengthen these ties.
The organizers welcomed TDAP’s full support, describing it as a source of encouragement. They called on other institutions to extend their cooperation and urged the government to facilitate visa issuance for international buyers through Pakistani embassies abroad.
“The success of this international event is vital for promoting Pakistan’s handmade carpet industry,” the organizers emphasized. “No effort will be spared in its preparation and execution.”
Committees are set to be formed to manage various aspects of the exhibition, with specific responsibilities assigned to ensure smooth operations.
In conclusion, the PCMEA leadership urged the government and TDAP to collaborate closely with the association to deliver a successful event, aimed at maximizing results and enhancing Pakistan’s reputation in the global carpet market.
