54th Death Anniversary of Poet Nasir Kazmi Observed

Lahore: The 54th death anniversary of renowned Urdu poet Nasir Kazmi was observed today [Monday]. Born on December 8, 1925, in Ambala, British India, Kazmi relocated to Lahore following the creation of Pakistan. In Lahore, he served as an editor for various Urdu newspapers.

According to Radio Pakistan, Kazmi was also associated with Radio Pakistan and engaged with several literary organizations. His first poetic collection, “Barg-e-Nay,” marked the beginning of his significant contributions to Urdu literature.

Nasir Kazmi passed away in Lahore on this day in 1972, leaving behind a legacy celebrated for its depth and influence in Urdu poetry.
