Islamabad: The National Assembly was informed today of the government’s plans to introduce 5G services and develop new infrastructure to enhance internet connectivity. The efforts include the deployment of four new cables and an increase in optical fiber networks, with the aim of providing faster and more reliable internet access to users.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Parliamentary Secretary on Information Technology and Telecommunication Sabheen Ghoury addressed the Assembly during the Question Hour, confirming that 5G services are expected to roll out by mid-year. The infrastructure improvements are designed to support this technological advancement.
