Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced that forty-five thousand houses are currently under construction as part of the ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ scheme. The initiative aims to provide affordable housing solutions to the people of Punjab.
According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif spoke at a loans disbursement ceremony in Lahore, highlighting that nine thousand houses have already been completed under the scheme. The program has successfully distributed approximately sixty-four thousand interest-free loans to beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister assured that recipients of these loans would repay them in easy installments over a nine-year period. The monthly installment is set at fifteen thousand rupees, designed to ensure that repayment remains manageable for the beneficiaries.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif further stated that the scheme is on track to disburse seventy-five thousand loans by the end of this month, continuing its mission to facilitate home ownership in the region.
