8 Cattle Markets Established in Rawalpindi District

Rawalpindi: The district administration of Rawalpindi has set up eight cattle markets at designated locations across the district to facilitate the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals in an organized manner on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi has confirmed the sites where the cattle markets have been established. These locations include Bhatta Chowk, Mouza Ranyal Chakri Road, Police Station Rawat, Gulyana Road Gujjar Khan, Sharif Hospital Bus Stop Wah Cantt, Timber Market Road Taxila, Bypass Chowk Kallar Syedan, and Tangi Road Kahuta.

Meanwhile, the district administration of Islamabad has also set up official cattle markets at six designated localities. These include the Islamabad Expressway near Zia Masjid, I-12 Sector, Barakahu, Lehtrar Road near Sultana Foundation, Japan Road, and Sangjani.

Authorities stated that these markets will provide facilities for both traders arriving from distant areas and citizens visiting the cattle markets to buy animals. They also noted that the establishment of markets and the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals in the streets, roads, and other places is strictly banned.
