Access to quality healthcare is basic right of every citizen: Prime Minister

Islamabad, January 09, 2021 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that government would extend all possible cooperation to the private sector for establishing hospitals in the country’s far flung areas. Chairing a briefing in Islamabad regarding Universal Health Coverage in Punjab, he said access to quality healthcare is the basic right of every citizen.

He said his government has initiated reforms in the health sector, which are aimed at helping the poor and deserving. The Prime Minister said all the permanent residents of Punjab would be provided the facility of health card by end of this year for medical treatment at public and private hospitals.
