Islamabad, January 08, 2014 (PPI-OT): A press release issued by Office of the Accountant General of Pakistan Revenues, Islamabad today said that the Islamabad High Court took an initiative on its own for internal inspection with the objective to guide and train their manpower to work in accordance with the rules, regulations and applicable laws.
The press release further said that AGPR primarily performs the functions of maintenance of accounts and pre-audit of financial claims, therefore, it associated only to help the management in internal audit/inspection. A report was generated as a result of this collective exercise. This is not the AGPR’s report in strict sense of the word as reported and publicized in the media nor any action is required by AGPR in this regard.
The press release added that the internal inspection report so generated is only for their internal consumption etc. and the impression created by labelling this report as audit report is wrong and malicious.
