ADB Country Director Supports FBR Initiatives During Meeting in Islamabad

Islamabad: Ms. Emma Fan, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), met with Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Rashid Mahmood Lagrial at the FBR headquarters on Monday to discuss ongoing projects and mutual cooperation.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions focused on the progress of ADB-funded projects and FBR’s ongoing Transformation Plan. Chairman Lagrial detailed the plan’s goals to modernize FBR, aligning it with international standards to enhance dynamism and efficiency.

During the meeting, Chairman Lagrial emphasized that the reform efforts are aimed at maximizing revenue growth and facilitating tax compliance. Ms. Fan expressed the ADB’s strong support for FBR’s initiatives and confirmed the bank’s continued commitment to aiding Pakistan’s revenue mobilization efforts.
