Additional Gas Being Provided to Domestic Consumers: Ali Pervaiz

Islamabad: Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, has announced that additional gas is being provided to domestic consumers this winter on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting in Islamabad to review gas supply for the winter season, the Minister emphasized that providing relief to the public during the winter is a top priority for the government. He also highlighted that modern IoT devices and town-border systems have been installed in remote areas of the gas network to effectively monitor pressure. The Minister directed SSGC to further improve pressure and alarm systems in tail-end areas.

The meeting was informed that in December 2025, SNGPL supplied 95 MMCFD more gas compared to the same period last year. Similarly, SSGC provided an additional 32 MMCFD of gas in December. The OGRA audit report showed that 98.5 percent of SNGPL and 97 percent of SSGC customer complaints were resolved within the stipulated timeframe. The Minister stressed the importance of establishing a feedback system for consumers to track the resolution of every complaint.
