Afghanistan Becomes Epicenter of Terrorism Under Taliban Regime

Afghanistan: Afghanistan has become an epicenter of terrorism, drug trafficking, and human trafficking networks under the Afghan Taliban regime. The Afghan Taliban are engaged in fanning terrorism not only in neighboring countries, but also in other world countries, including the United States, Canada, and Australia.

According to Radio Pakistan, the renowned international magazine “The Diplomat” reports that the Afghan Taliban are providing safe refuge to terrorist groups that want to spread terrorism in the region and beyond. The magazine writes that sanctions on the Taliban should be further tightened and peaceful political forces in Afghanistan should be supported to avert incidents like 9/11.

“The Diplomat” further says that more than six thousand terrorists of the Fitna-al-Khwarij in Afghanistan have the potential to spread beyond the borders. The magazine suggests that Afghanistan is a safe haven for terrorists, and it would be a big mistake to recognize the Taliban as Russia had recognized them.

Experts say the international sanctions on Afghanistan should be tightened further until concrete and verifiable steps are taken against terrorism.
