Agri Sector Has Crucial Role in Fostering Pak-China Collaboration: Tanveer

Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has emphasized the agriculture sector’s crucial role in fostering collaboration between Pakistan and China. During discussions with a Chinese delegation at the China-Pakistan Economic and Trade Exchange Conference, held in Islamabad, the minister expressed a keen interest in learning from Xinjiang’s impressive advancements in agricultural productivity.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Hussain highlighted the significance of public-private partnerships and urged Chinese enterprises to explore investment opportunities within Pakistan’s agriculture and agri-business sectors. His discussions underscored the potential for enhanced cooperation and mutual benefit between the two nations in the agricultural domain.

In response, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong reaffirmed China’s commitment to deepening agricultural cooperation with Pakistan. The ambassador’s remarks further solidified the shared vision of strengthening ties and fostering growth within the agriculture sector between the two countries.
