Ahsan Calls on Architects to Embody Pakistan’s Identity in Designs

Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has urged architects to reflect Pakistan’s identity in their building designs. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad today, he emphasized the need to preserve the country’s local heritage through architecture. The Minister said by incorporating local heritage into architectural designs, cities can be given a distinct identity in the 21st century. He added that skilled architects could play a key role in designing climate-resilient buildings.

According to Radio Pakistan, highlighting the importance of low-cost housing, Ahsan Iqbal said the government is working to introduce mortgage financing to enable common people to own homes and live with dignity.
