Ulaanbaatar:Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has proposed the transformation of transport routes into economic corridors to facilitate the connection of Central Asia with global markets through Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, Iqbal made these remarks during the 25th Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Ministerial Conference.
The Minister emphasized the importance of establishing logistics and production hubs, which would include facilities such as cold storage, packaging, warehousing, and light manufacturing. These developments aim to convert transit traffic into exports and generate employment and economic opportunities for local communities.
