Ahsan Pledges Enhanced Collaboration with World Bank for Pakistan’s Progress

Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the World Bank in pursuit of a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready Pakistan. He made this statement while speaking with Bolorma Amgaabazar, the newly appointed Country Director of the World Bank, who visited him in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized that URAAN Pakistan aims to inspire hope, foster innovation, and ensure long-term stability through scenario-based planning and institutional reform. He highlighted that the Planning Ministry is spearheading an extensive consultative process to modernize civil service and enhance public sector performance, in alignment with URAAN Pakistan’s focus on institutional excellence.

Ahsan Iqbal also reiterated the government’s intent to revive the Pakistan Development Forum later this year, in alignment with the framework of URAAN Pakistan.
