Ahsan Urges Provinces to Draft Development Action Plans

Islamabad: Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has urged the provinces to develop and share their respective action plans for socio-economic development. He was chairing the 5th meeting of the Prime Minister’s Committee on the Socio-Economic Domain in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister for Planning particularly urged Balochistan province to expedite its action plan for submission to the APEX Committee. He underscored the need to reframe the national narrative around conflict-prone areas.

He emphasized that targeted interventions should begin with select districts in tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, focusing on youth development, entrepreneurship, alternative livelihoods, macro-level, and socio-economic empowerment.
