AIOU Launches Free Matric-Level Education Initiative in Select Regions

Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University has launched a major initiative under its ‘Education for All’ vision, offering free matric-level education to students from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the merged tribal districts. This step aims to ensure equal access to education for students in remote and underdeveloped areas.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasir Mahmood, while speaking to the media in Islamabad, urged parents, teachers, and community leaders to play their role in encouraging eligible students to benefit from this opportunity. The initiative is seen as a significant move towards reducing educational disparities in these regions.
