All National Institutions Stand United for Country’s Defence: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Field Marshal (FM) Syed Asim Munir on his historic appointment as Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces (CDF). In a post on his X handle, he said as the sentinel of our nation’s security, his leadership has been pivotal in guiding our brave Armed Forces to a decisive victory in the Battle for Truth.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized that the people of Pakistan will always remember FM Syed Asim Munir’s bold and courageous leadership in wartime, which unified the Armed Forces, galvanized the entire nation, and secured a historic victory for the homeland.

Shehbaz Sharif also felicitated Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu on the extension of his tenure. He noted that under Sidhu’s command, the Pakistan Air Force destroyed seven enemy aircraft and sophisticated missile defense systems with unmatched professionalism, reinforcing Pakistan’s air superiority.

The Prime Minister highlighted that all national institutions stand united for the defence, development, and prosperity of Pakistan. He expressed confidence that together, they would make the country’s defence truly invincible.
