Analyst Urges Public to Prioritize Polio Vaccination for Children

Karachi: Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad has emphasized the importance of public participation in the ongoing polio vaccination campaign. He highlighted the necessity for the general public to prioritize their children’s vaccination to protect them from the lifelong threat of the virus. Ahmad pointed out that while the government and vaccination departments are making concerted efforts to eradicate polio, the public’s involvement remains crucial.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Ahmad expressed concern over the spread of misleading rumors about the polio vaccine, which have gained unwarranted trust among some segments of the population. He noted that these misconceptions could hinder the vaccination campaign’s success. Efforts are being made through mass campaigns to dispel these myths and reinforce the importance of vaccination to ensure a polio-free future for children.
