ANF Destroys Over 18 Tons of Drugs in Sheikhupura Ceremony

Sheikhupura: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) organized an annual drug disposal ceremony in Sheikhupura. Over eighteen tons of various types of drugs and more than one hundred and sixty-nine thousand liters of liquor were destroyed during the event.

According to Radio Pakistan, to prevent environmental pollution, the drugs were incinerated using a modern industrial incinerator. In addition to the disposal efforts, Anti-Narcotics Force Punjab has been active in combating drug smuggling in the region.

The force arrested five hundred and ninety drug smugglers and registered four hundred and sixty-three cases this year. Thirty-five of these smugglers were sentenced to life imprisonment, while one hundred and thirty-two received harsh penalties in various courts, showcasing ANF’s commitment to tackling drug-related crimes.
