Srinagar, June 13, 2013 (PPI-OT): Another Kashmiri research scholar studying at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was found dead in his rented room.
Gulshan Ahmed Dar of Pattan who was pursuing M.Phil degree was found dead inside his rented room, Uttar Pradesh police said.
Station House Officer Pattan Mehboob Bandey told media men that he received a call from UP Police who informed that a Kashmiri student was found dead inside his rented room. “I informed his family who has gone to Aligarh to collect the body,” he said adding that UP Police is conducting the postmortem of the body.
Earlier, in one of several such cases, a 29-year-old Kashmiri scholar, Mudassir Kamran, pursuing Ph.D in English at English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, Deccan, was found hanging in his hostel room on March 2, 2013.
In the subsequent month of April, another 22-year-old BBA student from Jammu and Kashmir, Kabeer Butt, seeking Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) from a management college in Pune was also found dead inside his friend’s flat on April 2.
All the victim Kashmiri students including the afore-mentioned are believed to be either killed by Indian secret agencies or by fanatic Hindus out of discrimination and extreme prejudice against the Kashmiris.
Meanwhile, three persons were killed and two others were injured when a car, they were travelling in, skidded off the road and rolled down into river Chenab in Kishtwar district.
