Anti Narcotics Force recovers 118 Kg drugs in 4 countrywide raids

Islamabad, February 09, 2016 (PPI-OT): ANF in 4 countrywide raids carried out at Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, Peshawar and Karachi seized 118 Kg drugs comprising 11.4 Kg Heroin and 107 Kg Hashish, while rounded-up 6 persons on drug charges and impounded a vehicle. Most of the recovered drugs were intended for local use.

According to details, ANF Karachi on pursuance of information raided a house situated in Pakhtoonabad Manghoo Peer, Karachi and seized 100 Kg Hashish stocked at the said house. An accused named Sabir Khan, occupant of the house was also apprehended during the operation. As per initial reports, the place was being used as a narcotics den.

ANF Rawalpindi captured a Mini Mazda Truck Registered No LWN-2876 near Tarnol, GT Road, Rawalpindi. The search of the truck led to seizure of 4 Kg Heroin and 6 Kg Hashish concealed in it. Two persons on board identified as Alam Zeb resident of Chakwal and Rizwan resident of Nowshera were taken into custody. As per preliminary information, the drugs were being transported to Punjab for local consumption.

ANF Lahore while carrying out an operation in Dera Ghazi Khan, held 2 local drug suppliers named Fahim and Muhammad Hanif along with recovery of 4.4 Kg Heroin and 1 Kg Hashish, which was found in their personal possession.

ANF Peshawar Airport Team detained a passenger named Sharjeel Ahmed resident of Mandi Bahauddin at Peshawar Airport and recovered 3 Kg Heroin hidden in his trolley bag. The accused was scheduled to board for Doha by Qatar Airline. All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations and further investigations are underway.
