Anti Narcotics Force strikes at airports, highways, courier companies conducts 9 operations at Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and arrest 8 persons

Islamabad, March 18, 2014 (PPI-OT): ANF conducted 9 operations at Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. Recovered 8.1 Kg Heroin and 9.9 Kg of Charas. Most of the drugs recovered were destined abroad.

According to details, ANF Karachi intercepted a parcel booked from Islamabad through TCS Courier Company and recovered 2.200 Kgs of Heroin. The parcel was intercepted at Karachi and destined for UK. The drug was tactfully concealed in 11x Cardboard Plates.

ANF Karachi intercepted a parcel booked from Hyderabad through APX Courier Company and recovered 300 Gm of Heroin. The consignment was intercepted at Karachi and destined for Holland. The drug was tactfully concealed in a wooden show piece/ toy.

ANF Karachi arrested Muhammad Musab s/o Sadiq Ullah Khan r/o Karachi and recovered 200 Gm of Heroin tactfully concealed in his shoes. The accused was travelling to Thai land by Thai Airlines Flight No TG – 342.

ANF Lahore arrested Sayed Rasool s/o Ali Muhammad r/o Sargodha, who confessed of having 35 Heroin filled capsules in his stomach. He was also carrying 150 Heroin filled capsules in his hand baggage. He was travelling by Gulf Airlines Flight No. GF – 765 to Damam via Bahrain.

ANF Rawalpindi arrested Hazrat Nabi s/o Sameer Khan r/o Daimer and recovered 6 Kg of Charas from his personal possession. The accused was arrested near Domyal Link Road, Gilgit.

ANF Peshawar acting on an information conducted operation at Daewoo Bus Stand Peshawar, arrested 2 persons and recovered 3.6 Kgs of Heroin. Arrested persons include Ibadullah s/o Safeer Ullah r/o Shaikhan Bara Road, Peshawar and Raybana w/o Safeer Ullah.

ANF Peshawar Airport Team arrested Wahid Gul s/o Wali Muhammad r/o Tehsil Bara Khyber Agency and recovered 1.20 Kg of Heroin tactfully concealed in his shoes. The accused was travelling from Peshawar to China by Qatar Airlines Flight No. QR – 609. The accused was arrested at the spot.

ANF Peshawar arrested Daud Shah s/o Fazal – e – Gul r/o Tehsil Bara District Khyber Agency and recovered 3.90 Kg of Charas from his personal possession. He was arrested near Jamrud Road, Kacha Garhi Chowk, Peshawar.

ANF Peshawar arrested Rana Abdul Jabbar s/o Din Muhammad r/o Gujranwala at Daewoo Bus Stand Peshawar and recovered 23 0 Gm of Heroin from his personal possession. Cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and f further investigations are under process.
