Anti-Pakistan Information Campaign Originating from Abroad Detected

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has highlighted the emergence of a coordinated negative information campaign against Pakistan, which has been initiated from foreign sources with ill intent.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar stated in a post on X that the campaign aims to create confusion and spread misinformation by using unnamed sources and officials. This effort, labeled as unprofessional, seeks to undermine Pakistan’s efforts in promoting sustainable peace in the region, reflecting the frustration of those opposed to peace.

He emphasized that credible domestic media and multiple fact-check forums have already debunked this propaganda. Tarar pointed out that the elements behind these stories are primarily those who oppose peace and are resistant to acknowledging Pakistan’s role in fostering regional stability and combating foreign-supported terrorism.

The Minister assured that Pakistan and its responsible media will continue to expose the malicious intentions of those orchestrating this campaign. He praised the efforts of Pakistani media and influencers in revealing the true motives behind the misinformation, underscoring their commendable role in addressing the issue.
