Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has issued a strong condemnation of the blasphemous statements made by Hindu priest Narsinghanand, which they claim are an affront to Muslims worldwide. The group is calling on the international community to intervene and ensure the protection of minority rights in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, along with leaders Advocate Parvez Ahmed and Mashatq Ahmed Butt, released a joint statement expressing their alarm and dissatisfaction. They noted that Narsinghanand’s comments have deeply offended the global Muslim community. The leaders emphasized the profound reverence Muslims have for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), stating that he is held in higher regard than even their own families and lives, making such blasphemous remarks intolerable.
The statement also highlighted ongoing concerns regarding the behavior of India’s BJP regime towards Muslims, accusing them of perpetuating a climate of fear and insecurity among minorities. The leaders described Narsinghanand’s inflammatory statements as a clear manifestation of Islamophobia.
Furthermore, the APHC-AJK has appealed to the international community to exert pressure on India to ensure the protection of religious, political, fundamental, and social rights for all minorities within the country.
