APHC-AJK to Host Rally in Muzaffarabad to Mark Self-Determination Day

Muzaffarabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter will organize a rally on January 5 in Muzaffarabad to commemorate Self-Determination Day.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the rally will be led by APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Mohammad Safi, alongside political leaders from Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The organizing committee has called upon the public, political and religious parties, civil society members, students, and lawyers to participate in the rally, which is set to commence from Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk.

The committee members include Advocate Pervez Ahmad Shah, Zahid Ashraf, Syed Gulshan Shah, Abdul Majeed Mir, Uzair Ghazali, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Abdul Hamid Lone, Mohammad Ashraf Dar, Mushtaq Islam, and Chaudhry Mohammad Shaheen. APHC-AJK General Secretary Pervez Ahmad Shah, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Zahid Ashraf, Mushtaq Islam, and Mohammad Ashraf Dar recently met with Director of the Liberation Cell Raja Sajad, Director of the Information Department Mirza Bashir, and Director General of Local Government Raja Fayaz in Muzaffarabad, inviting them to the rally.

Chairman of Pasban Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali has indicated that all efforts will focus on ensuring the rally’s success. Additionally, the APHC-AJK delegation met with the Mayor of Muzaffarabad, Sikander Gilani, who assured that councillors and municipal employees would participate in the event on January 5.

The delegation also engaged with religious leaders from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, securing commitments from ulema including Maulan Zahoor Jalali, to attend the rally.
