APHC Asserts Indian Actions Cannot Suppress Kashmiri Self-Determination Struggle

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has declared that Indian atrocities including killings, arrests, and torture will not suppress the Kashmiri people’s drive for self-determination, recognized by the United Nations.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Adv Abdul Rashid Minhas condemned recent actions by Indian troops, including the killing of three young students in a purportedly staged encounter in Baramulla’s Keeri area, demanding a UN investigation into these incidents. He also called for the release of senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq from house arrest and other detained Hurriyat leaders and youths.

Minhas emphasized the Kashmiri population’s commitment to continuing their struggle for self-determination, which they see as a just and UN-pledged right. He criticized efforts by the BJP and its affiliates in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) to equate the Kashmiri freedom movement with terrorism and discredit it through the orchestration of elections, asserting these tactics will not deter the Kashmiri people.

The APHC spokesman called on the international community to support the Kashmiri struggle for freedom and to fulfill its role in facilitating a plebiscite in the region.
