‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ Initiative Achieves Historic Milestone

Lahore: Punjab government’s landmark housing initiative ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ has achieved a historic milestone by facilitating the construction of over fifty thousand houses in the month of June.

According to Radio Pakistan, official data released by the Government of Punjab indicates that loans worth fifty-seven point nine billion rupees have been disbursed to deserving individuals, enabling thousands of families. The project is addressing the issue of homelessness and contributing significantly to employment generation, boosting the local economy, and supporting the construction industry.

In a statement, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has called the project a worthy example in Pakistan’s history, emphasizing that loans are being granted purely on eligibility and need.
