At least 17 wounded in Magam blast

Srinagar, April 27, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a powerful blast ripped through a busy market in central Kashmir’s Magam area, injuring at least 17 persons, health authorities said.

The explosion happened at around 11:30 am at local bus stand. Block Medical Officer Magam Dr Khalid said 17 persons were injured. Fouteen among them have been shifted to JVC hospital, Srinagar. “One has been injured in the eye. His name is Nazir Ahmad Mir,” he said. The nature of the blast has not been figured out yet, but the BMO said it might have been a grenade blast.
