Aurangzeb Expresses Desire to Promote Technology-Driven SMEs Development

Sevilla: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed Pakistan’s desire to promote technology-driven, climate-compliant, and socially inclusive small and medium enterprises (SMEs) development. He was speaking at a high-level panel discussion titled ‘Scaling up SME Finance’ hosted at the International Business Forum, held on the sidelines of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Sevilla, Spain.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized Pakistan’s interest in learning from successful models across other emerging markets and fostering partnerships to achieve this objective. He reaffirmed the government’s strong resolve to support small businesses and develop a more enabling financial ecosystem that can drive sustainable and equitable growth.

The discussion brought together global policymakers and financial leaders to exchange ideas on strengthening financing mechanisms for SMEs, which are widely recognized as critical engines of inclusive economic growth.
