Aurangzeb Hails World Bank’s Support for Economic Reforms

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has appreciated the World Bank’s continued engagement with Pakistan on economic reforms and institutional development. He was speaking at a meeting with the World Bank team in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the World Bank team, led by Ms. Bolormaa Amgaabazar, provided updates on its ongoing technical support concerning the medium-term revenue strategy, tax policy office, and FBR transformation initiatives. The discussions focused on strengthening coordination, accelerating implementation, and ensuring that reform measures remain aligned with broader fiscal and governance objectives.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration and close coordination in advancing Pakistan’s economic reform agenda. They emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional capacity and supporting sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
